When it comes to our dog, we’re a little weird. Who isn’t? We obsess about her diet and water consumption. We spend more on her haircuts than ours.
We have instituted a toy rotation because, with all of her toys out, you can’t take two steps in our apartment without tripping over toys and tennis balls. And when we’re making plans to grab dinner or drinks, we hate to leave her at home.
I’ve pulled together a list of dog-friendly eateries and breweries in various Indianapolis neighborhoods so we can take her with us everywhere we go!
Typically, if we take the dog to a restaurant, we expect to sit on the patio or in a designated area. She will stay leashed and sit at our feet while we eat and chat.
I recommend calling ahead if you’re unsure about a pet-policy, or to make sure the patio is open. It was a major bummer when we got to a restaurant last spring only to discover the patio hadn’t opened for the season yet.

Once we’ve had our fill of delicious foods and tasty suds, we need a good long walk. Knowing that she is up-to-date on her vaccinations, is friendly with other dogs, and doesn’t mind wearing her leash, we typically hit a trail or public park to stretch our legs. She just hopes we find a froyo pup cup along the way.
