#indyzoob contest to kick off Monday!

The 27th year of Zoobilation also marks the fifth year for the Zoobilation Twitter Team presented by IndyHub.

The Twitter Team’s goal is not to increase ticket sales to this sold-out-in-less-than-one-week event. But both IndyHub and the Indianapolis Zoo see value in engaging new audiences. Our goal is to build awareness and excitement for this annual black-tie gala among the animals. And we’re adding value to the commitments made by the Zoobilation restaurants and entertainers. All of this, in tandem with the efforts of  many staff, committee members and volunteers, will ensure a sustainable event for years to come. Now’s your chance to be  part of the (very meaningful) fun.

That’s a must. With an engaged set of followers? Yep, also pretty important. And it’s pretty large? Even better.

Now this is especially important Monday – Friday, April 1-5, you know, since that’s when we’re selecting the team and all.

Have fun, be positive, use your sense.
This is a fun week, it will be an even more fun the next couple months and the most fun will be at Zoobilation. We’re looking for your wit and persuasive, but remember we’re also looking for those who can be respectful of the animals, the Zoo and the dozens of individuals who’ve spent many months working toward this event. Anything less is just uncool. It’s a big party, and one with an even bigger purpose — raising dollars that support conservation efforts, in Indianapolis and around the word.

So here’s how it will work.

Each day, April 1-5, we’ll add to the Team. Six team members, five days. (We’re not telling which day we’ll pick two!) By Friday, the team will be assembled and receive invitations to the Zoobilation Corporate Breakfast, Zoobilation Fashion Night at Saks Fifth Avenue and go behind the scenes during setup for this event on a massive scale. Of course, the Team’s efforts culminate in their live-tweet exploration of Zoobilation. If you think juggling all of those delectable foods and cocktails was difficult, try doing it while tweeting!
