We Love You Here

Life can be hard. Especially when you feel that you don’t, or can’t, fit in.

We love you here.

A simple message, but powerful.

This week, our friends at Open For Service are launching a campaign that we want to help drive forward. It is a message of hope to rally around; one to inspire and embrace the values, hospitality and genuine feeling of community we know to be true.

weloveyouhereLess than a year ago, our state was launched into the national spotlight in a very negative way. The Indiana General Assembly and our governor passed a law that so many of us felt did not embody the spirit of our community. Residents and business leaders of cities and towns across the state felt the same way. In Indy, we rallied – hard – around a singular message: Indy Welcomes All.

The issue of equality rests once again in the hands of our elected officials.

We believe Indy is made great by its diversity in thought, preference and culture. We hope you will join us by showing your support for all residents of Indiana, regardless of their sexual preference, socioeconomic class, religious affiliation, race, ability, ethnicity, gender and gender identity. We love you. We support you. We stand with you – not just today, but everyday.

If you would like to stand as a member of the LGBT community or an ally, we encourage you to visit weloveyouhere.org and leave a message of love and support.

Want to do more? Open For Service is looking for volunteers, too. Fundraisers, Website/Graphic Designers, Event Planners, Developers, Branders, Advisors and Community organizers are all in need to help spread the message and support our community of LGBT individuals and allies. If you’re interested, please reach out to josh@openforservice.org.
