BackPack Attack
The BackPack Attack is an annual school supply drive for Indianapolis and Marion County students. It is estimated that 78% of IPS students can not afford school supplies. The BPA mission is to provide children the tools they need to do well in school. Since 1999, businesses and organizations have provided over 2.1 million school supplies to children through the BackPack Attack.
Participation is simple! Hold a drive, volunteer, or make a donation online.
Register online to hold a school supply drive in your business or organization. We will provide all the materials you need to conduct the drive, including collection bins, posters, and t-shirt.

The mission of Best Buddies is to enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. People with intellectual disabilities are often excluded from society because of their differences. Best Buddies is determined to end social isolation for people with intellectual disabilities by establishing meaningful, lasting one-to-one friendships with their non-disabled peers. These friendships help increase self-esteem, confidence and the abilities of people with and without intellectual disabilities.

Big Car is a new collective of creative talent based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Its mission is to promote arts and cultural organizations. Big Car wants to help those organizations spread the word about the great things they do - while also contributing directly to the scene with its own magazine and book publishing, local record label, affordable online art gallery, and exciting events that bring artists together with the public. Big Car doesn't want to duplicate anything the city's arts organizations are already doing - just support and supplement what's happening here. Big Car wants to help, not compete.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis
Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis has been serving kids in the Indianapolis community for 113 years! Founded in 1893, Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis was the 24th nationally chartered Club. Today, Boys & Girls Clubs of Indianapolis continues the tradition of excellence in service to youth. The mission of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Indianapolis is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. There are nine Club sites in the area that are open every day after school and five Club sites that are open all day in the summer. They provide a safe place for kids when they have free time and need positive, productive outlets.

Care for Kids
Summer camp. For some it’s a privilege. For others, it’s a convenience. But for the underserved children in our communities, it’s just a dream. A fantasy that may never be realized. Another opportunity lost in a life filled with trauma and tragedy. But an opportunity that, if realized, may make the difference between confidence or despair….self esteem or self loathing….a productive contributor to society or part of the problem.
The Care For Kids Camp for foster children focuses on children who, through no fault of their own, are placed into the foster care system due to circumstances that
include abuse, neglect, abandonment and parental incarceration. The Care For Kids Foundation is investing in the opportunity for these children to experience one week of residential summer camp in beautiful Brown County, Indiana.

Central Indiana Association of Volunteer Administration (CIAVA) is a great networking and educational resource for volunteer administrators.
CIAVA breakfast meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from September through July at the American Red Cross, 441 East Tenth Street, Indianapolis, IN. We will meet in the Ruth Lilly Auditorium on the lower level. Parking is convenient and free. Central Indiana Land Trust, Inc.
The Central Indiana Land Trust (CILTI) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation formed in 1990 by a diverse group of concerned citizens acting to protect natural spaces in the face of increasing development. Recognizing that a strong economy and a continued high quality of life in central Indiana is ultimately dependent upon and related to the state of the environment, CILTI maintains that development must be balanced with adequate greenspace. It operates in a regional capacity throughout central Indiana, and actively seeks to protect a broad array of natural areas from small urban greenspaces to pristine nature preserves of high biological integrity.
Central Indiana Wilderness Club
The Central Indiana Wilderness Club is a not-for-profit volunteer run club founded for the purpose of providing reasonably priced backpacking, hiking, canoeing/rafting, biking, kayaking, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and other wilderness adventures for members. Each year CIWC conducts in excess of 30 such destinations as diverse as southern Indiana and the Grand Canyon. We have trips for both the novice and experienced person, with the club taking care of most details. CIWC was formed in 1982 and currently has over 160 members.
Champions for Children
Champions for Children is a coalition of volunteers aligned to support the prevention of abuse and neglect of children. By sharing information and taking actions to support children, Champions for Children, a council of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, is working to make the safety and well-being of children a community responsibility.

The Children's Theatre Indianapolis (CTI) exists to educate and inspire young people through theatre arts. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Indiana Chapter
The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation--a donor-supported, nonprofit organization--is to assure the development of the means to cure and control CF and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease. It funds medical research and care programs which are improving the length and quality of life for people with CF.
Damien Center
The mission of the Damien Center is to lead the fight to prevent the spread of HIV and to empower persons in Central Indiana affected by HIV/AIDS to move forward each day with dignity.

Dance Kaleidoscope has been Indiana’s premier professional contemporary dance company since 1972. Freetown Village
Freetown Village is a living history museum which depicts the lives and lifestyles of free African Americans in the year 1870. Freetown Village is a symbolic community representing many of the predominantly African American settlements scattered throughout Indiana during the post-Civil War years. Freetown Village's mission is to educate the public about African American lives and culture in Indiana through living history performances, the collection and preservation of artifacts, exhibits and allied programs.

We represent the alumni and students of Harvard University. Indiana Biomedical Entrepreneur Network (IBEN)
The Indiana Biomedical Entrepreneur Network (IBEN) strives to enable entrepreneurship in life sciences and medicine throughout Indiana. This is achieved through social networking, education and events featuring experienced entrepreneurs. IBEN is open to all who play a role or have an interest in biomedical entrepreneurship, from academics to product. Events are held the second Tuesday of every month during the academic calendar. IBEN is a non-profit volunteer driven organization sponsored by Ice Miller, the Indiana Health Industry Forum (IHIF), and the IURTC.
Indiana Black Expo
Indiana Black Expo, Inc. (IBE) has been a pillar of the African-American community for 35 years. It has encouraged, uplifted and celebrated the accomplishments and achievements of African-Americans throughout Indiana. Its mission is to be an effective voice and vehicle for the social and economic advancement of African-Americans. IBE's vision is that African-American youth and families achieve their highest potential and reflect pride in their ethnicity. IBE continues to strive for excellence by providing unique events and programs which reflect the changing landscape of Indiana and the world.
Indiana CPA Society
The Indiana CPA Society is a professional association representing certified public accountants in Indiana. The INCPAS provides many valuable benefits to its members. It serves as the voice of Indiana CPAs to government by introducing and sponsoring legislation that affects the accounting profession. The Society communicates the responsibilities of CPAs to the general public and other entities, and promotes the benefits of establishing working relationships with CPAs. Additionally, the Society provides many avenues through which members may obtain continuing professional education.
Indiana Historical Society
Since 1830, the Indiana Historical Society has been Indiana’s storyteller, connecting people to the past by collecting, preserving, interpreting and disseminating Indiana history. The independent, nonprofit organization also publishes books and periodicals; sponsors teacher workshops; provides youth, adult and family programming; assists local historical groups throughout the state; and maintains one of the largest collections of material on the history of Indiana and the Old Northwest.

The Indiana Humanities Council strengthens communities through targeted initiatives in leadership, education, and culture.
Indiana INTERNnet
The Indiana INTERNnet program is designed to retain college graduates within the State of Indiana. Indiana INTERNnet is an internship-matching program linking employers, students, colleges and universities by providing both high-tech and high-touch support. It is a powerful high-tech Web-based search, matching and reporting system coupled with “high touch” personal assistance, a toll-free hotline to answer questions and provide internship guidance, resource materials, creating or expanding high quality internship opportunities within the state.
Indiana Repertory Theatre
The Indiana Repertory Theatre (IRT) values live theatre as an entertaining and educational event created by professional artists especially for our audience. The IRT believes theatre provides a unique opportunity for audiences and artists to share experiences that can be enjoyable, uplifting, thought-provoking, even life-changing. The IRT is the place that creates and perpetuates programs to make these experiences available to all segments of our community.
Indiana School for the Deaf
The Indiana School for the Deaf Community promotes academic and social excellence for deaf and hard-of-hearing students through a bilingual/bicultural environment. The bilingual/bicultural philosophy provides language acquistion and facilitates proficiency in two languages, American Sign Language (ASL) and English. By providing an enriched academic and cultural learning environment, deaf and hard-of-hearing students develop a sense of identity within the Deaf community. Students also develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to function effectively with members of a multicultural, diversified community.
Indiana Sports Corporation
Indiana Sports Corporation, a non-profit organization, serves as the catalyst for Indianapolis' thriving sports economy making our community the envy of other cities throughout the U.S. For more than 25 years, ISC has brought the very best sporting events to Indianapolis. The city's successful sports economy has helped transform Indianapolis into a can-do city with a wonderfully positive image throughout the nation, while providing billions of dollars in economic impact and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for kids, fans, local businesses and volunteers.
Indiana State Bar Associate Young Lawyers Section
The purpose of the Young Lawyers Section is to stimulate the interest of young lawyers in the objectives of the Indiana State Bar Association, to carry on activities which will be of assistance to young lawyers in the practice of law and the citizens of this state, and to make reports and recommendations to the governing bodies of the Indiana State Bar Association.
Indiana State Museum
The Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites preserves, interprets and presents material evidence of Indiana’s cultural and natural history in a context that encourages people to actively participate in discovering their world – as it was, as it is and as it can be. The Indiana State Museum continues to bring the best of the museum world to Indiana. Visitors can find Indiana art, science, history and culture as well as a wide variety of traveling exhibits throughout the museum.
Indiana State University Alumni Organization
Membership in the Alumni Association is the best way to maintain a lifelong connection to your alma mater and a tangible way to support the efforts of your university. All memberships in the Association work together to strengthen the university in many ways: recognition of academic excellence, student scholarships and recruitment, counsel to the university administration, legislative advocacy on behalf of Indiana State and service and leadership to our undergraduates and other alumni.

The Indiana University Alumni Association is dedicated to serving the university and its diverse alumni, students, and friends. The Alumni Association is a membership organization that connects alumni, students, and friends through communications, activities, programs, and services. The association develops and supports volunteer leadership, serves as a voice for alumni as the university evolves, and provides lifelong learning opportunities. The association assists in the recruitment of students, supports the development of resources to advance the university, and engages in activities to enhance the university’s reputation locally and around the world.
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) Alumni Association
IUPUI has over 120,000 living alumni with an ever growing and active alumni relations program to match the continuing growth of our campus and its alumni population. IUPUI encourages alumni to become involved with the university by either attending our events or volunteering to serve as a participant in one of our many alumni program groups. It is only through active involvement by our alumni that our programs will continue to grow.
Indiana Wind Symphony
Since 1997, the Indiana Wind Symphony has presented artistic performances of significant music for band and wind ensemble to the Central Indiana community. The ensemble is made up of 70 members, including professional musicians, music educators, and serious amateur musicians. The group has presented American premieres of several important works, including works by Hungarian composer Frigyes Hidas; Werner Bruggemann’s piano concerto Rike; Nocturne by Thomas Doss; and Hardy Mertens’ Sinfoniches variaziones.
Indiana Young Democrats
The Young Democrats of America (YDA) has been the official youth arm of the Democratic Party since 1932. Open to anyone under the age of 36 who affiliates with the Democratic Party, YDA is a nationwide grassroots organization with 42 chartered states and 780 local chapters. All of the members have the interest of their community at heart and work hard to affect the democratic process.
Indiana Young Republicans
The Young Republicans (YRs) are the oldest political youth organization in the United States. Important to the growth of the Republican Party, the YRs reach out to registered Republicans, 18 to 40 years of age, and provide them with better political knowledge and understanding of the issues of the day. Since its creation, the Young Republican National Federation has established itself as the premier Republican grassroots organization in the nation, providing essential grassroots support for Republican candidates and conservative issues on the local, state and national levels.
Indianapolis Ambassadors
Indianapolis Ambassadors is a group of about 500 civic-minded individuals who share a goal of helping others and the community of Indianapolis through volunteerism, and of meeting new people with similar interests. Indianapolis Ambassadors serves essentially as a 'temp agency' for non-profit and civic agencies that need short-term volunteer help, with the result that members can sample a wide variety of volunteer work with no long-term commitment to any one organization required. In addition to the many volunteer events members may sign up for, many social and educational events are also offered.

Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra
The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra serves today’s diverse audience and builds tomorrow’s audience with professional performances of music for the small orchestra and meaningful educational programs. The orchestra, comprised of thirty-five professional musicians, focuses on programming that is unique to its composition and size by presenting an annual concert series of masterworks from four centuries of music composed for the small orchestra. The ICO also accompanies many local arts, educational, and religious organizations.

Indianapolis Children's Choir
The goal of the Indianapolis Children's Choir is to provide quality music instruction while attaining the highest level of artistic excellence in choral performance. Throughout its first decade the Indianapolis Children's Choir has performed in a wide variety of professional settings. In addition to its own concert series, the choir performs regularly with professional symphony orchestras. The ICC also plays a central role in the cultural life of Indiana, participating in important civic events.

Indianapolis Convention and Visitors Association (ICVA)
The Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association (ICVA) is a private, non-profit organization formed in 1923. It is governed by a board of directors, with additional insight provided by an advisors board, and employs a staff of more than 60 professionals. The ICVA is funded from both private (membership, advertising and sponsorship) and public sources (Capital Improvement Board, a portion of the Marion County innkeeper's tax). According to a Global Insight report, in partnership with D.K. Shiffllet & Associates, 20 million visitors annually provide $3.27 billion in total annual economic impact on the Indianapolis economy resulting in 76,246 full-time equivalent employment positions in the hospitality industry.
Indianapolis Cultural Development Commission
The Indianapolis Cultural Development Commission supports and encourages an environment where arts and culture flourish, and lets the world know about Indy's vibrant cultural scene. IDADA, the Indianapolis Downtown Artists and Dealers Association, is a non-profit membership based organization of studio artists, art galleries and arts-related businesses within the 20 block square of the center of Indianapolis. The prime focus of IDADA is the creation and marketing of unique and original art.
Indianapolis Downtown, Inc.
Indianapolis Downtown, Inc. (IDI) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization formed to develop, manage and market Downtown Indianapolis. The organization makes Downtown a clean, safe, convenient and exciting place to live, work and be entertained. It also helps ensure the maximum return on the $5.6 billion invested in Downtown since 1990 and prepares Downtown for the $3 billion of new investments scheduled for completion by 2010.
IDI was established in January 1993 and takes on broader management and economic development responsibilities than its predecessor, the Commission for Downtown. A 36-member board and 71 advisory board members direct IDI.
