The 1828 Project, sponsored by Citizens Energy Group, is a civic leadership tract for Indy’s young leaders with the goal of fostering intentional relationships with a cross sector of Indianapolis’ thought leaders and decision makers. Kamron is a part of 1828’s Class IX– learn more about her below!

What is your day job/ how do you spend your days?
I am a Marketing Associate at Raymond James. During daytime hours, this is where you would most likely find me!

Where are you originally from?
Jeffersonville, IN

If you aren’t from Indianapolis, what made you choose Indy?
I chose to go to IUPUI for my undergrad.

You’re off the clock. What are your plans and/or your favorite things to do when not at work?
I like to visit new places in Indy, research eco-friendly products, catch up on news, spend time with friends!

When thinking about the future of Indianapolis, what are you looking forward to the most and why?
I’m looking forward to its growing expansion and the diverse business/people it will bring to the community!

Are there any local causes that you support? What are they and how might others learn more or get involved?
Not at the moment but I am interested in learning more about causes in Indy that support sex trafficking awareness.

Do you have a favorite local spot (restaurant, bar, park, etc.) that you love going to? Where and why?
The Eagle. The food and vibes are always consistent.

Which is your preferred way to get around our city and why: bus, walk, bike, drive, scoot, etc.
I prefer to drive or walk. I don’t own a bike and I’m deathly afraid of the scooters for some reason!

What’s something underrated about Indy that more people should know about? (Could be a person, place, thing!)
In general, I think people take for granted how connected/“small” Indy is.

What’s a movie/tv show/book that has impacted your life most to date?
None to date that I can remember.

If you had to remove all the apps from your phone except for 3, which would you keep? (Phone, Messages, & Camera are built in and don’t count against your 3!)
I would keep Yelp, Lyft, and LinkedIn.

Do you have a special talent OR is there something incredibly common that you have never done before?
I still haven’t seen Forest Gump.

If you had to listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh What A World – Kasey Musgraves

Pancakes or waffles?
Neither!
