What is your day-job/ how do you spend your days?

Communications Coordinator for the Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC). On a daily basis, you can find me designing and producing marketing materials for ICRC and cultural commissions we house, managing our website and social media platforms, writing speeches or planning our many events!

Where are you originally from?

Indianapolis

It’s the weekend. What are your plans and/or favorite things to do when not at work?

I love to bike the Monon Trail/Broad Ripple, read critical theory, catch up with friends and listen to podcasts!

When thinking about the future of our city, what are you looking forward to the most and why?

I’d love to see even more bike trails and local restaurants that cater to more diverse palates!

Quick- you can only eat at one local spot for the rest of your life. Where ya going?

Mama Carolla’s Old Italian Restaurant

What’s a local Indy cause that is near and dear to your heart and how might people go about learning more or getting involved?

Civic and community engagement is incredibly important to me. Being more actively involved in one’s community should be the inevitable effect of one’s life course. We should all seek to be more involved in creating positive change in our families, neighborhoods and beyond. A great resource for people who want to get more involved in their communities is VolunteerMatch.org. So many opportunities to become more involved and create change can be ignited by contributing time to things that matter to you!

It’s 2030: where are you and what are you doing? (Personally, professionally, etc)

I would love to be working in a public policy/media/communications capacity for a major tech or media company.

Any exciting vacations planned this year or next?

No vacation this year for me, however, I’d love to visit Amsterdam in the near future.
