How do you spend your days? For example, you can tell us about your career, side hustle or exercise routine whatever you want to share. We’re ready to listen.

My days are mostly spent out and about having great conversations about public education with other parents and community members and spending with my three sons. When I am not dad or community organizer my place is in front of a hot grill or exploring the city looking for a quiet place with great cocktails.

Where in Indianapolis did you grow up?

I moved to Indy in middle school and grew up in Pike Township

You’re off the clock, there are no expectations. What are you doing?

Binging a show on Hulu or Netflix, reading, experimenting with new recipes, or relaxing at Sultana.

When thinking about the future of Indianapolis, what are you most looking forward to in the next 5 years and why?

I am really excited about how vibrant and exciting Indy is becoming. Coffee shops such as Patron, Provider, or Tea’s Me are really great co-working spaces to meet community members and break away from the traditional office setting. The local brewery and happy hour scene is also trending positively, and it is starting to feel like there is never a lack of things to do.

Are there any local causes that you support? What are they and how might others learn more or get involved?

I am blessed to work for the a local cause that I truly believe in at RISE Indy. RISE is a non-profit focused on advocacy as it pertains to kids and their education. We have built a number of coalitions that encompass people from every walk of life. Please see our website www.riseindy.org for more information.

Indianapolis is a sprawling county, what’s your favorite part about our city?

The best thing about the city is that it is diverse enough to find a nook that fits your current mood or energy. It is also growing at a rate always allows for new adventures.

Comfort. Whether it relates to family, finance, politics, or career.
