Brackets_for_Good_Inline_TransparentEveryone who lives here in Indianapolis knows that the city is alive with philanthropic energy. As a local entrepreneur, it’s thrilling to see this piece of Indy spread to other parts of the country.

There’s no better example of this than Brackets for Good, which is expanding its footprint from its Indianapolis beginnings and Louisville 2015 debut to add competitive fundraising brackets in Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Ann Arbor, Mich. in 2016. As the first-ever Brackets for Good publicity partner, Bohlsen Group is pumped for another year of Fundraising Madness, which will help energize and activate the philanthropic sector in these five communities.

Our support of Brackets for Good is rooted in our belief as a Certified B Corp, the only such organization in the state of Indiana, that our work should positively impact our community and world.

One of the great privileges of being in the communications business is being able to spread the stories of people and nonprofits doing good in their communities. As a part of our commitment to promote Brackets for Good in all of its tournament cities, we are excited to announce that we’ll also be supporting some of the tournament participants this year, helping create a communications game plan for each of the organizations that earn their way to into the Philanthropic Four.

For everyone else, mark your calendars and set aside some dollars starting February 26 through April 1st. You can check out the list of participating nonprofits in each city online.

The journey to name a tournament champion has already begun. We can’t wait to see what stories we’ll uncover along the way, and to see Indianapolis leading the Midwest in innovative philanthropic giving.

Vicki Bohlsen is Founder and President of Bohlsen Group, a full-service public relations and advertising agency based in downtown Indianapolis that is the only Certified B Corp in Indiana. Connect with them online at www.bohlsengroup.comTwitterFacebook, or Instagram.
