How do you spend your days? For example, you can tell us about your career, side hustle or exercise routine whatever you want to share here we’re ready to listen.

My days are spent mostly outside no matter the season for both work and leisure. At work I am outside managing and tending to the gardens and after work I am frequently on walks or bike rides. While biking I enjoy seeing different neighborhoods’ buildings, landscapes and residents.

Where do you call home?

I am originally from central Illinois and most recently lived in Oregon. I moved to Indianapolis to take a job with the Indianapolis Cultural Trail.

You’re off the clock, there are no expectations. What are you doing?

I am putting on a podcast, grabbing my growler and hoping on my bike to find a trail/neighborhood to ride.

When thinking about the future of Indianapolis, what are you most looking forward to in the next 5 years and why?

Indianapolis is making a lot of investments in its parks, greenways and public spaces. I look forward to see how residents will build on those investments to make them unique and apart of the culture of Indianapolis.

Are there any local causes that you support? What are they and how might others learn more or get involved?

As a newer resident my focus right now is on exposure. I have found several things of interest but still waiting to find my best fit.

Do you have a favorite local place in town (restaurant, bar, park, etc.) that you love going to? Where is it and why should other people try it out?

Cottage Home Community Park to me is one of the best examples of what a neighborhood park should be. Its a great place to go with others with great places to sit or with small activities to do. If you go take note of all the little details people have put into the place.

Indianapolis is a sprawling county, what’s your favorite part about our city?

I like that Indy has several different pockets. On a single bike ride its not unusual to feel like you have just rode through a small town main street, a wooded trail, a large US city and a small prairie before arriving back in your own neighborhood.

If you were a superhero what would be your special trait? Why?

Teleporting. When used properly it gives you many of the perks of other super powers like invisibility and flying while still leaving the door wide open for other creative uses.

You’re hosting your own music festival with three artists – Who’s performing?

The California Honey Drops, The Brother’s Footman (Indy local) and Lost Bayou Ramblers. I would have a tough time finding a target audience but they have all been super fun groups to see live.

If you had to listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be? Why?

This is an impossible question, it would ruin any song I choose!

Mornings or evenings? And why?

Mornings, I love watching the world wake up and it is when I am most productive.

How do you define success?

Success is being at peace with yourself and proud of what one has done with their circumstances.

What would you name the autobiography of your life? Feel free to give us context here.

The 2nd Best Time is Now.

One of my favorite quotes is “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the 2nd best time is now” Reading that always reminds me that others created my favorite things, places and memories. I try real hard to make sure I work on things that will grow and improve to be enjoyed by others later in ways I will not always understand.
