In a typical year, you might receive an invitation to join us at our annual in-person fundraising event. Last year, we celebrated the night away at THRIVE atop Salesforce Tower to raise funds to support KIB’s programming. However, this year, we’re taking THRIVE online with our new fundraising event, A Beautiful Evening: KIB’s Virtual Un-Gala, presented by PNC Bank.

So what’s an un-gala? Well, on October 24, we’ll kick off year-end giving with a live and interactive online event, featuring all of KIB’s programs. You’ll hear about what we’ve been up to this year, ways you can get involved, and even have the chance to make your own signature cocktail, right from the comfort of your own home, with 8th Day Distillery (all while supporting one of your favorite organizations, of course). But there’s a twist…attendance is optional.

While we would love for you to join in on the fun for a quick hour, we understand that you might be totally done with virtual events at this point in the year. That’s ok. We don’t blame you. So we’ve got a few ways for you to join us whenever and wherever you feel like it.

1. Register for your free ticket and attend the event: Join us in making a signature cocktail with 8th Day Distillery and learning more about KIB. Show your support with a live gift during the program.

2. Purchase an exclusive event kit: This package will provide everything you’ll need to participate in the live event…or not. Join us live in making a cocktail and learning more about KIB or save your kit for later. Either way, we’ll make sure you have everything you need to participate on October 24 and beyond. Plus, when you purchase a kit, the proceeds go directly to supporting your favorite KIB programs.

3. Opt-out, but show your support with a gift today: If attending another virtual event doesn’t sound like fun or you’re busy that day, that’s just fine. This is an un-gala, remember? All gifts made on our event page will help us reach our fundraising goal that evening. Give a gift to support KIB today and contribute to the fun (and fundraising) on October 24.
