Shared, Used & Taken

October 11 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

Join us for our third and final installment of Shared, Used & Taken a speaker series in partnership with Indiana Humanities. We will hear from the dynamic duo of Dr. Terri Jett and Indy Urban Acres Farmer, Tyler Gough. As these two professionals will show, the culture of farming is ever-changing. Although community gardens, farmers markets, and urban farming are starting to enter more conversations, we have a long way to go in the food justice movement. Dr. Terri Jett and Tyler Gough will discuss food access gaps and ways to bridge equitable access to healthy foods for all communities.

This conversation will feature: a discussion with Dr. Terri Jett and Indy Urban Acres Farm Director, Tyler Gough, and an interactive audience Q&A.

This event will take place outside, at Indy Urban Acres main site so please dress appropriately.

More about our guest speakers:
Dr. Terri Jett, Professor of Political Science, Faculty Director of the Butler University Hub for Black Affairs and Community Engagement, and Senior Advisor to the President, Butler University (Indianapolis)
Tyler Gough, Indy Urban Acres Farm Director
