IndyVolved 15 Postponed to Fall

Over the last month, we’ve all experienced our world and city under staggering and uncertain circumstances. We’ve dealt with unthinkable situations, had tough conversations and faced challenges none of us saw coming as this year began. And yet, Indy and our people have rallied together like never before. Business owners have shifted their operations to help serve those in need. Neighbors have stepped up through volunteerism, much-needed donations to local organizations, and even simply taking the time to check in on those most hurt by this pandemic. And our first responders have shown a level of heroism that leaves most of us speechless. What’s best about our city is in full display right now, and it makes the team here at IndyHub amazed.

As a city of doers and change makers, Indianapolis shows up big for our annual event, IndyVolved. And while we are excited to celebrate our 15th year of this premier volunteer event, we understand the importance of doing our part to take care of our community and slow the spread of COVID-19.

Our top priority is the safety of our network, partners, and staff which is why we’ve made the decision to postpone our signature event, IndyVolved 15 to the fall. This annual event will no longer take place on June 18, 2020 but instead we will be excited to welcome our supporters, exhibitors and network in civic celebration on September 17, 2020 at Central Library.

Just like all of you, we have also taken the necessary steps during this time to ensure that we remain productive and responsive throughout this situation. This includes using our digital platforms to reach over 50,000 individuals, to promote personal wellness, self-care and ongoing civic engagement amongst our network. And even in a time when we’re being asked to practice physical distancing, we continue to combat loneliness through our virtual Core Connections initiative. You can learn more about our efforts and others across the city at indyhub.org/together.

In Indianapolis, People Make the City, even when we can’t get together in person. And on the other side of this, we’ll be an even more connected, involved and empowered community because we did what was necessary in a difficult time.

EXHIBITORS:

Exhibitor applications have been extended and will be open until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2020. If you have already applied, no further action is needed. All exhibitors will be notified of their status no later than Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

SPONSORS:

IndyVolved is 100% free each year thanks to the support of many partners and sponsors like you. Despite the alternate date your investment in IndyHub and the 15th year of IndyVolved is still recognized and appreciated. If you have any questions or needs please reach out to Ashley Miser, ashley@indyhub.org.

VENDORS & ARTISTS:

Despite the alternate date your investment of time and talent in IndyHub and the 15th year of IndyVolved is still recognized and appreciated. We’ll have a team member reach out shortly to begin organizing our rescheduled line items.

VOLUNTEERS:

In addition to our IndyVolved committee, our day-of volunteers are the ones making sure things run smoothly at the big event. We’ll put a formal callout for volunteers in July 2020.

ATTENDEES:

Whether you’ve attended for years or it’s your first time, IndyVolved is the place to be! It’s part community festival, part Sun King Brewing beer garden, part civic engagement fair– and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Save the date for this year’s event and tell your friends. Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Central Library 6-8:30 p.m. with an AfterParty (details coming soon). RSVPs will officially open July 2020.
