July– November 2019 (Multiple opportunities available!)
Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills and feel valued by society. In Indiana we have over 100 chapters that build one-to-one friendships, pairing a person with IDD with a person who does not have a disability, and promoting leadership development – ranging from elementary school age through adults. Another program provides opportunities for inclusive employment for people with IDD.

Some opportunities to raise funds are provided, such as procuring sponsorships, table sponsors, and gala ticket and ad sales, or simply sending letters from the event website. Other fundraising is up to your own creativity, and Best Buddies can assist with publicity and promotion efforts. Fundraising continues through the night of our annual Gala, where the competitors are recognized and the ultimate Champion of the Year is announced!
