Education & Employment Academy Tutor

Year-round, Tuesdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at Brookside Community Church (1035 N Olney Street)

The Education and Employment Academy instills hope in students through education and employability. This program focuses on helping middle and high school students discover passion areas and improve socio-emotional competencies, with an emphasis on personal development and post-secondary planning. The program includes leadership development, mentoring, and academic support. Tutors will build relationships with students and assist with homework, as well as work to improve overall math capabilities and reading comprehension.

Tutors will assist middle and high school students with homework, study skills, and educational enrichment. Tutors will receive guidance and material from staff to be better equipped to work with and serve students. Tutors can offer assistance in a specific subject, or help out wherever needed.
