Library Express is an Indianapolis Public Library program designed to assist our patrons who are homebound and who have no one available (friends / family members) to pick up and return library items for them.
Library Express depends upon the generosity of volunteers to provide this service. Library Express volunteers are matched to one patron for whom the the volunteer selects and delivers materials to the patron’s home. Volunteers must successfully complete a screening process by the library before being accepted as a Library Express volunteer.
Volunteers use their personal vehicle to provide this service. The time commitment ranges from 2 to 4 hours a month. The patrons needing this service are located throughout Marion County.
To learn more about this volunteer opportunity, please contact the Library’s Support Programs & Volunteer Resources office at 317-275-4046 or email Sara Liebhaber at firstname.lastname@example.org.
