The Exchange at the Indianapolis Urban League is the young professional auxiliary of the Indianapolis Urban League (IUL). Just as our parent organization is a part of a national organization (National Urban League), we too are the local representation of a national organization (National Urban League Young Professionals). We take pride in adapting programming, events and other opportunities to connect for our local audience in a way that fulfills the needs of our local community.
What is Join Week? In college we’re all familiar with sororities and fraternities hosting their annual week of events… think of The Exchange’s Join Week in the same lens with a philanthropy and social justice spin. Anyone that contributes $50 or more dollars annually, is passionate about the mission of IUL, and is between the ages of 21-40 can be a part of The Exchange.
During the week of January 30 – February 5 we, along with chapters across the country, will showcase different facets of the organization, while giving current contributors and prospective new contributors the opportunity to become more acquainted with us.
To highlight a few of our events: Monday we will showcase our Urban League and all of the great things it does and provide opportunities to get involved, Tuesday we will hold an open lunch discussion at the state house by day and an adult recess at night, Thursday we will have movie night at the Walker theater… there really is something for everyone and we’d love for you to join us at any of the events by RSVPing to the events on Facebook or emailing theexchange@indplsul.org.
