Throughout the entire month of September, IndyVolved 15 presented by Indianapolis Power and Light Company will highlight 100+ Indy nonprofits, showcasing the ways that they are serving our community and providing opportunities for you to plug in. We’ll host conversations that tackle the issues facing our city and let you hear directly from the front line workers who are fighting everyday to design solutions and get results. We’ll help you plan your impact and ensure that whether it’s your time, talent or treasure, what you give is paying off. And we’ll even provide some useful swag that helps you give back to our city as often as you’d like. IndyVolved 15 is Indianapolis Bicentennial Commission Community Project, participate in IndyVolved 15 and help lead us into the next 200 years of civic service.

So consider your September booked, because there’s something for everyone. And in the meantime, meet the organizations that are looking for people just like you to do good often.

MEET THE INDYVOLVED 15 NONPROFIT EXHIBITORS 

Throughout September, those interested and wanting to participate in IndyVolved can do so however they desire and are most comfortable – from our virtual experiences to in-person, there’s something for everyone and it’s all free. Some IndyVolved sessions will require RSVP so participants are encouraged to check out the experiences below.

KICK OFF CELEBRATION WITH CITYWAY ON SEPTEMBER 2

A curated event for participants to connect and engage with one another and community partners on SEPTEMBER 2 FROM 4-6 P.M. Grab your mask and join us at CityWay as we kick-off the month long celebration of IndyVolved 15 presented by Indianapolis Power & Light, social distancing style. At our kick-off, you’ll be able to Buy Indy, purchase IndyVolved 15 merchandise, and pick up your Do Good Often bag. Register here!

 

CLOSING CELEBRATION WITH INDIANA SPORTS CORP AT SUN KING ON SEPTEMBER 30

We all deserve a toast so grab your mask and join us and our friends at Indiana Sports Corp at Sun King Brewery as we close the month long celebration of IndyVolved 15 presented by Indianapolis Power & Light Company social distancing style on SEPTEMBER 30 FROM 5 – 7 P.M. At our cheers event, you’ll be able to purchase IndyVolved 15 merchandise, and pick up your Do Good Often bag if you haven’t already. Register here!

 

DO GOOD OFTEN WITH THE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS’ GIVING BAG CAMPAIGN

In conjunction with IndyVolved 15, IndyHub and the Indianapolis Colts will launch The Giving Bag Project, encouraging give back practices all year long through the collection of donated goods to local organizations. This effort will provide support to organizations in need and increase their efforts to continue to better the community for a stronger legacy. Philanthropy is in our city’s DNA. We are a city of doers and changemakers that are shaping Indy for generations to come. Join us for a  workshop on Wednesday, September 16 for a conversation with the Lilly School of Philanthropy: IUPUI on how to become your own philanthropist, foster your civic growth and development, and plan your impact. UNCOVER THE GOOD WITH PLAT COLLECTIVE

Join us as we Uncover the Good with Plat Collective in our city every Tuesday and Thursday morning in September. We’ll connect over candid conversations with local non-profit leaders addressing their needs, how they’re helping shape Indianapolis and how you can support. Each segment will feature (4) non-profit organizations brought together by a common cause and topic area. You don’t want to miss these morning chats via IndyHub social media.

WHAT IS INDYVOLVED

IndyHub’s research shows the more you get involved in the community in which you live, the more likely you are to stay. IndyVolved is a way to establish roots in our city with an organization that you are passionate about. Each year, IndyHub gathers over 100 non-profits and civic-minded 20- and 30-somethings to mingle and align their missions to shape our city.

Whether you’re new in town or you’ve lived here for a while, it is our goal that every IndyVolved attendee finds one or more meaningful ways to engage in our city! IndyVolved is free for all to attend.
