What is your day-job/ how do you spend your days?
Events and Communications Associate at Indiana Humanities
Where are you originally from?
Washington, Illinois
What made you lay your roots here in Indianapolis?
I went to Butler University and fell in love with a city that welcomed outsiders, had lots of events and opportunities for young professionals and felt tight knit.
It’s the weekend. What are your plans and/or favorite things to do when not at work?
I love to play team trivia, ride my bike on the Monon, cheer on the Butler Bulldogs, watch documentaries and attend classes at the YMCA.
When thinking about the future of our city, what are you looking forward to the most and why?
I’m most excited for everyone else to find out what a gem of a city Indianapolis is. Between advancements in public transit, the booming tech sector and up and coming food scene, it can’t be too long before we’re forgotten as “Naptown”.

What’s a local Indy cause that is near and dear to your heart and how might people go about learning more or getting involved?
I love what Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana is doing to invest in the young people of Indy. There are so many boys and girls on the waiting list to get mentors. Sign up to be a big here!

Most recent vacation?
Last year, I spent a week in Wisconsin at my grandparent’s cabin on Lost Lake. There’s no cell service so it’s a true retreat!
