PATTERN, in partnership Indiana Fashion Foundation, will be hosting the launch and open house for its new sewing facility, StitchWorks, on Thursday, March 19 from 3-7 p.m. at 1125 East Brookside Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46202. The open house event will include refreshments and remarks made by Polina Osherov, PATTERN’s executive director, and Denisha Ferguson, executive director of Indiana Fashion Foundation, at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., live sewing demonstrations and the opportunity for attendees to test out the facility’s machines.

StitchWorks’ goal is to revitalize the art of sewing by providing resources, knowledge and a variety of programming – including learn-to-sew classes, an industrial sewing certificate, and production services – to all those who wish to create.

Still in the pilot phase, StitchWorks has until the end of 2020 to raise the necessary funding to prove the surrounding community wants and needs this amenity. A donation of any size is asked in exchange for a ticket to the open house event. All proceeds will go directly to equipment and supplies.
