Do you have a mentor that has made a difference in your life or career? Chances are, you wouldn’t be nearly as successful as you are without a mentor who invested in you or your career. But someone took an interest in you. They became a trusted advisor as you built your business or career. Have you ever wanted to give back to them but didn’t know how? Enter the Inspire Awards.
The Inspire Awards are dedicated to recognizing outstanding mentors in the workplace and community. Five finalists from each category will be recognized and the winners will be announced at the Awards luncheon on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Categories include accounting, legal and finance; health and health sciences; education and nonprofit; business, retail & services; technology, engineering and manufacturing; marketing, media and athletics. The Inspire Awards support College Mentors for Kids, a nonprofit that connects college students with the most to give to kids who need it most. This year, Senator Richard Lugar will be honored as the Lifetime Achievement Award Winner in mentoring.
Go to www.collegementors.org/nominate-a-mentor for the form, but don’t wait too long. Nominations are accepted through January 29, 2014.
