Let’s Talk About Mental Health, Indy.

Naturally, the last year has been challenging in all parts of life: financial stress, isolation, telework, lack of work/life boundaries, restless sleep, caring for loved ones, and much more.

For many who were dealing with anxiety and depression before the pandemic, their mental health struggles can now often feel inescapable. And for those who’ve just started investing in their mental wellness, the pandemic related stress has exacerbated other triggering areas.

So what does it take to combat our isolated, stressful world and take care of ourselves?

The Millennial and Gen-Z generations have taken a different approach to reducing the stigma associated with mental health, specifically by incorporating professional therapists into their daily lives – and talking about it. This is a good step in the right direction, but we believe that there’s so much more we can be doing for ourselves and each other.

Every time we talk about health we should be talking about our mental health, and that’s why IndyHub has teamed up with medical experts and civic leaders to have authentic, real-world conversations about mental well being.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll debut critical conversations about the science behind anxiety, loneliness, nutrition, meditation and more. Because Indy, we’re in this together and we have one common goal in mind:  normalize the conversation around mental wellbeing
