Black & Blue–On the Road with Jack White
September 17, 2021 - December 8, 2021
FreeA collection of over 60 limited edition posters created in conjunction with rock musician Jack White’s “Blunderbuss” and “Lazaretto” tours will be on display in the Galleries at Herron School of Art and Design.
Fats Kaplin, one of America’s most inventive instrumentalists who accompanied White on these tours, generously provided posters from his private collection and coordinated supplemental materials from his bandmate, Dominic Davis, and Third Man Records.
“Black & Blue—On the Road with Jack White,” which will be on display from Sept. 17 through Dec. 8, is part of an annual series of Herron exhibitions featuring the best illustrators and graphic designers working today. It boasts outstanding contemporary poster design and offers visitors an exclusive glimpse into White’s visionary music.
OPENING RECEPTION: An opening reception will be held in Eskenazi Hall on Friday, Sept. 17, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., in conjunction with a talk by exhibiting artist Tuguldur Yondonjamts.
