2022 FINA Swimming World Cup
November 3, 2022 @ 9:30 am - November 5, 2022 @ 6:00 pm
The FINA Swimming World Cup returns to the United States for the first time since 2006 this November 3-5 at the Indiana University Natatorium – IUPUI. As the local partner with USA Swimming, the IU Natatorium and its volunteer Team Indy will be welcoming approximately 600 of the world’s best swimmers to Indianapolis. These elite athletes, representing over 60 countries, will be competing for prize money on this final leg of the 2022 FINA World Cup Series. The two other series stops will be in Berlin, Germany (October 21-23) and Toronto, Canada (October 28-30).
The Nat will be open to participants for practice starting on the afternoon of Monday, October 31, through Wednesday, November 2. Competition days will be Thursday – Saturday, November 3-5 with the preliminary sessions beginning each day at 9:30 AM and finals sessions at 6:00 PM. Sign up now for coveted positions on Team Indy at the Nat! This event will provide a unique international experience for volunteers as we showcase our city and Hoosier Hospitality to all of our visitors.
All volunteers will receive a complimentary event polo and parking while on duty – plus fun and fellowship! Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age; available to work a minimum of three shifts throughout the week; and attend a virtual volunteer orientation session Thursday evening, October 27, at 7:00 PM.
We hope to see you at the Nat this fall! Please contact Arlene McDonald, Meet Director, at arlmcdon@iu.edu, or John Maxey, Volunteer Coordinator, at slapshot08@sbcglobal.net with any questions. Thank you!
