We Survive and Rise: A Conversation with Ashley C. Ford

FreeExperience an afternoon of inspiration, hope and community with author Ashley C. Ford. Ford is a writer, host and educator who lives in Indianapolis. Her New York Times best-selling memoir, Somebody’s Daughter, was published by Flatiron Books in June 2021. Her powerful book explores growing up a poor Black girl in Indiana with a family fragmented by incarceration, how isolating and complex such a childhood can be, and her journey to find the threads between who she is and what she was born into.
