Monday, September 22, we hosted a party to kickoff sales for our 2014-2015 Passport to the Arts season. If you weren’t able to make it, here’s a quick rundown of what you missed.
Indiana Repertory Theatre
The IRT started the evening with a scene from Shakespeare’s The Two Gentlemen from Verona their current production.
We definitely appreciated the fancy costumes and unbridled enthusiasm of these two particular gentlemen.
Dance Kaleidoscope
Next up was one of DK’s 12 professional dancers, Emily Dyson. She took the mic and told us about what it took to join the company–and then she showed us some pretty incredible moves.
We got a taste of DK’s style through her demonstration of both ballet and Martha Graham.
Indianapolis Museum of Art
The Scott Stulen representing the IMA gave us the inside scoop on all the new activities and opportunities coming to the museum.
He was also running the Drawing Project off to the side throughout the entire evening.
Phoenix Theatre
The Phoenix Theatre gave us an impromptu dialect lesson where we learned how to imitate an impressive Irish accent.
They followed the lesson with a brief look at The Cripple of Inishmaan, a play we’ll see in full with the Passport.
Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra
The evening finished with a bass and trombone duet from the ISO.
These guys will be our first stop of the 2014-2015 Passport season.
But not to worry, there’s plenty more where that came from–and you can grab your Passport over here until they sell out.
