It may not be the Indy 500, but it’s just as exciting to see which lucky duck takes the checkered flag. Join us this year on Sunday, June 4 for the Broad Ripple Duck Race, presented by DAVID Electric!

Free children’s activities will be set up on the Rainbow Bridge overlooking the Broad Ripple Canal on Guilford Avenue north of Westfield Boulevard for families to enjoy from 3:00 to 5:00pm. Promptly at 4:30, three thousand rubber ducks will enter the water at the Start Line where the Monon trail crosses the Central Canal. The ducks race west down the canal towards the Finish Line located by the pedestrian bridge near College Avenue.
Proceeds support BRVA programs and projects focused on enriching the community, attracting investment, amplifying public spaces, and improving quality of life in Broad Ripple.

Ducks are only $6 each. Increase your chances of winning by buying a paddling (6 ducks for $30). Ducks may be purchased with cash or debit cards.  Credit cards not accepted due to Indiana State Law.  You must be 18 years old to purchase a duck as the race is considered a gambling event.

Starting in May, ducks can be purchased at various Village events and at the BRVA office (818 Broad Ripple Avenue) Tuesdays 1-4pm or Thursdays 8-11am.
Ducks may also be purchased at the event from 3-4:30pm.
