Donut Challenge vs. Non- Donut Challenge

Donut Challenge- Not your typical 5K! Participants take on the challenge of consuming a dozen donut holes halfway, before racing back to the finish.

Non-Donut Challenge- Make the 5K run/walk as competitive or fun as you like! Donut worry, there will be plenty of donuts to enjoy after the race.

Virtual 5k

Not able to make the race but still want to support an awesome cause? We’ve gone virtual! Here’s how it works:

1. Register for the special, virtual race that will happen no matter what!

2. Receive a customizable race bib, finisher’s medal, and t-shirt in the mail.

3. Anytime the week of March 14-20, go for a run. Any run. Any distance. Anywhere. Wear your shirt and bib – or don’t! Eat donuts to your heart’s content or woof down a salad. Whatever works. And if you want to post on social media, even better!

2021 COVID Regulations

We hope to have an amazing 2021 Donut Dash but as we know a lot could change before March 2021. We are prepared to be able to put on both a safe and awesome event and wanted you to be aware of our COVID regulations:

1. We will have limited spots with a smaller race cap until further notice so be sure to sign up A.S.A.P. since we have sold out the last several years at our greater race numbers!

2. All participants will be required to wear face masks before you start running and afterward. At our pre and post-race activities, we will be highly encouraging social distancing.

3. On February 22nd, if Marion County’s Covid-test rate is over 7% we will go completely virtual.

Be a Team Captain

Being a team captain includes plenty of perks! When you sign up for the race you will receive a confirmation email that contains a referral code, get five friends to sign up with that code and you’ll receive $25 back from your registration. What do I receive?

All in-person participants will receive:
– A Circle City Donut Dash 5K race shirt*
– An awesome finisher medal for all participants
– A customized race bib – Sign up by Feb. 28th to receive your name custom printed
on your bib and your team name if you have one
– Plenty of donuts after the race
– Complimentary Gear Check located by Start/Finish Line provided by Two Men and Truck

All Below Subject to Change with Covid Precautions:
– TWO free drink tickets (21 & Over) to be redeemed for either:
-A Sun King Brewing pint
– In addition to regular brews they will create a unique coffee-flavored beer for the race!
-A Tito’s Handmade Vodka deluxe bloody mary!
**Bring your ID. You will be carded. No ID no service.**

*Sign up by March 14th to be guaranteed an event t-shirt. You are not guaranteed a shirt if you are not registered by the 14th; if there are shirts leftover they can be purchased at the event.

– Children 7 & under can run/walk with their parents free of charge in the Non-donut 5k but they will not be timed or receive any race materials. If you would like for your child to be timed or receive race materials they must be registered for the event.

All participants must wear their bib# on the front of their bodies on their outermost layer of clothing in order to be properly timed. If you do not wear your bib# properly we cannot guarantee that you will be properly timed.

Awards-
– All overall and age group participant placers will receive an Athletic Annex gift card and a special award medal.

Donut Challenge
– The top 3 Males and Females in the Donut Challenge will receive a donut prize along with the gift card and medal
– There will also be awards for the top 3 males and females in each age group

Non-Donut 5k
– There will be awards for the top 3 overall males and females
– There will also be awards for the top 3 males and females in each age group

Best Dressed Donut Theme
This year we will also have awards for the following best donut dressed categories
– Best Individually Dressed Male/Female
– Best Team Dressed

Special Teacher Awards
-Teach Indy/Mindtrust and Teachers Treasures’ will pick ONE lucky winner to receive the grand prize pack (Teach Indy Swag Bag, $50 Amazon Gift Card, 2 Tickets to the exclusive Dream Big Gala compliments of The Mind Trust, and Teachers’ Treasures will bring a Pop Up Shop of free school supplies to their school). *Must be a licensed teacher to win this specific award, no teacher requirement for any other awards*
