Clerical Error Productions’ first show of 2024 combines the golden age of Hollywood and the golden age of television with Call Me Kate: Katharine Hepburn Tells It Like It Is. Inspired by her 1973 TV interview with Dick Cavett, the play recreates a live television broadcast, capturing the Hollywood legend at her wittiest and most reflective. The second act includes a brief Q&A to allow the audience to become part of the show and ask the star about her fascinating life, famous loves, and an esteemed career that spanned six decades.

Call Me Kate: Katharine Hepburn Tells It Like It Is was written by Kate Duffy, who also plays the title role. Blake Mellencamp appears as interviewer Dick Cavendish, and Jon Lindley directs.
