The Mayor’s Office of Education Innovation (OEI) is hosting a board recruitment event on March 12, 2020 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Tinker House Events (1101 E. 16th St.). Young professionals with an interest in growing in their leadership skills while making an impact in the community are encouraged to attend. This is also an opportunity for those looking to make an impact in the community through nonprofit board service to network and engage with school leaders across the city.

OEI currently oversees 36 charter schools with 41 locations across Indianapolis. In total, 22 Mayor-sponsored charter school boards make decisions that impact the 16,000+ students currently served by the Mayor’s portfolio. This event is tailored to highly-skilled leaders with experience in the areas that our boards have indicated a need of (i.e. finance, marketing, philanthropy, communications, IT, legal, etc.).

Appetizers and beverages provided by Sun King Brewery will be served. Mayor Joe Hogsett will also be in attendance as a guest speaker.
