Showcase your physical, mental, and social skills at Playworks Combine for a Cause: an Indoor Recess Experience. Participants will go through a series of five activities (either athletic drills or Playworks games) to see how they rank as a “Playground Champion.” Afterwards, celebrate your accomplishment at the Awards Luncheon.

The Combine will be set-up in five zones and participants will go through each zone in groups of 10. At the start of each heat, the group will go through an opening activity and will conclude with a group closing activity (similar to the start and end of a Playworks Recess).
The five Combine activities are:

Relay Race: zig zag around cones, avoid tackling dummies, catch a pass, high knees over stepover pads, split through defenders, dive onto a landing mat
QB Challenge: Participants will get 3 throws to try and complete a pass to cut out on inflatable horseshoe structure
Tic tac toe race: The classic game with an active twist. Participants will play a relay race with tic tac toe.
Hot Spots Basketball presented by Pacers Sports and Entertainment: A competition of the mind and body. See if you can outsmart your opponent while making a shot.
40 yard dash with a vertical jump: Run through a lasered course and then do a vertical jump using the same equipment used by pros

Ready to test your skills? You will have the chance to combine both individual and team-oriented scores as you race to achieve the fastest time possible. Compete in classic football challenges and some of Playworks’ favorite team games.

We will combine the times of your 40-yard dash and an obstacle course race with your team’s time in Hot Spots Basketball. You will then have the opportunity to knock time off the clock by proving your accuracy in a precision passing challenge or by outwitting your opponents in a tic-tac-toe relay. In the end, each contestant will have an individual score, with our lowest scores being the most successful!
