The Statewide Office of Diversity, Equity and Belonging is excited to launch a new Heritage Month Speaker Series in unity with national efforts to recognize national heritage months. Heritage months and special observances were designed for the purpose of providing a period of commemoration on the complexities and richness of heritages and to raise awareness on groups and identities reflective of our diverse societies and citizens.

Join us as we celebrate Black History Month with Indianapolis native Derris “Dee” Ross as he shares his life journey growing up in Indy’s East side, running for city-council, and creating his own non-profit The Ross Foundation to spark positive change in his community.
