Join the Indianapolis Symphonic Band at the Warren Central Bands Festival on Tuesday, March 14 at 7PM. The performance is a free admission concert open to all ages.

The program includes:
– Hungarian Fantasie, Weber
featuring bassoon soloist Kelly Swensson
– Movement For Rosa, Camphouse
– When You Wish Upon A Star, Harline

Joining the ISB at the Warren Central Bands Festival will be the Warren Central Honors Band and Greenwood Community Band.

The Warren Performing Arts Center is family-friendly and handicap accessible. All are welcome to attend.

About bassoon soloist Kelly Swensson

A native of Indianapolis and former Warren Central Band student, Kelly Swensson enjoys an active freelance career and performs with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, and Louisville Orchestra, as well as with local chamber ensembles and as a studio musician. Kelly has served as instructor of bassoon at the Jordan College of the Arts at Butler University. In 2012, she was a finalist in the international Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition, after having been a semi-finalist in 2010. Kelly received a Bachelor of Music degree in performance from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music studying with George Sakakeeny and a Master of Music degree from Butler University, where she studied with Doug Spaniol and served as Graduate Assistant in Music Theory. She has also studied at the Colburn School in Los Angeles with Richard Beene and at Northwestern University with Dennis Michel. Kelly currently lives in Zionsville with her husband Jordan and daughters, Harriet and Violet.
