The Indianapolis Opera presents a special 90-minute LIVE staged broadcast of Madame Butterfly from the Basile Opera Center on November 1, 2020 at 4 p.m. Featuring Ganson Salmon, Tenor, as Pinkerton, Hayley Lipke, Soprano, as Madame Butterfly, and Maestro Alfred Savia as Principal Guest Conductor.

Madame Butterfly, an achingly beautiful and powerful opera, is about an enchanting geisha, Cio-Cio-San, who loses her heart to an American naval lieutenant and marries him. After three long years away, he returns to Cio-Cio-San to take their son back to America with him and his American wife.
