Meet the Artists Exhibit

View the works of prominent local African American artists during one of Indianapolis’ premier cultural events, Meet the Artists XXXIII. The Meet the Artists exhibit and related virtual events are for individuals and families of all ages!

We hope to have works representing a variety of artistic mediums on exhibit for public viewing at Central Library and other branch libraries through March 27, 2021. Currently, all IndyPL locations are ONLY open for curbside pickup and computer use. We hope that we will be able to welcome you to our locations to see these exhibits in the near future, but at this time, there will be several virtual events throughout February.

Meet the Artists Live Concert with Goldie Ingram and Friends
Friday, February 5
7 – 8 pm
Born and raised in Indianapolis, Goldie Ingram is a seasoned vocalist of Jazz, R&B, Blues, Rock, and a dash of Country. She has opened for national acts, Eric Benet, Lalah Hathaway, Ronnie Laws, Shirley Murdock and has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with Rachelle Ferrell.

Meet the Artists Live Gospel Concert with the Williams Singers
Monday, February 8
7 – 8 pm
The Indianapolis-based family gospel group, The Williams Singers, was first organized by Rev. Charles D. Williams as a musical outlet for him and his young family. They mixed traditional quartet-style singing with uplifting, contemporary gospel and R&B.

Meet the Artists Live Violin Concert with the Sons of Mystro
Monday, February 15
7 – 8 pm
Born in South Florida to a Jamaican father and Barbadian mother, Malcolm, 23, and his 20-year old brother Umoja learned to play violin through South Florida’s public school system, and attended Dillard High School for the Performing Arts. Together, these brothers are Sons of Mystro.

Meet the Artists Live Fashion Show Presented by Ms. Nicole René
Friday, February 26
7 – 8 pm
The 2021 Meet the Artists XXXIII Fashion show will be presented virtually for the first time! Gather your friends and family for this “All Star” themed fashion show coordinated by Ms. Nicole René.
