PlayFest Indy, presented by The New Harmony Project, will offer free public readings of new plays from eight of America’s most exciting playwrights from September 13 to 15, 2024 in Indianapolis. Earlier in the week, the playwrights will have collaborated in the development of their plays with professional theatre companies from around the city: American Lives Theatre, Fonseca Theatre Company, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Indianapolis Shakespeare Company, Naptown African American Theatre Collective, Phoenix Theatre, Storefront Theatre of Indianapolis, and Summit Performance Indianapolis. The public readings are an opportunity for audiences to see and hear eight new stories that no one else has heard yet – to be there before anyone else.
