On August 13th, 2019, Indy Neighborhood Cats was formed as a 501c3 as the only organization based solely in the field addressing free roaming cat overpopulation in Indianapolis. Since their inception, Indy Neighborhood Cats has trapped, fixed, and vaccinated 3468 cats through a method called trap-neuter-return (TNR). TNR is just the first step in this community wide program. INC also supports the compassionate people who care for the cats who call our neighborhoods home through four key programs. Their community cat medical response, warm winter shelters, and mobile cat food pantry have served over 7,000 cats. Every cat that is set up to succeed in their outdoor home frees up space in our city shelters and rescues for the animals that truly need those services. So, you do not have to love cats to support the work of this life saving organization. To learn more about Indy Neighborhood Cats, visit their website and follow them on Facebook and find out how you can take part in making Indianapolis a kinder place for the cats who call our neighborhoods home.
