Skill Workshop: Creating a Legacy of Giving Through Grassroots Philanthropy

May 6, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

$10

Philanthropy, the desire to promote the welfare of others, is usually understood as the generous donation of money to good causes. However, there are many ways to be philanthropic.

One such local example is the African-American Legacy Fund of Indianapolis, a fund created to promote philanthropy and harness the collective power of African Americans to positively impact our community.

Our skill workshop led by AALFI founding member and chair Kiahna Davis, will give an overview of the fund’s creation, provide insight into the impact philanthropy has on our city and what other local leaders can do to organize similar efforts in their communities. Davis is also a Leadership Indianapolis board member and accomplished business owner.

We do not want cost to prevent anyone from participating in this workshop, so if the registration cost creates a barrier to your participation, please reach out to Kelly Doucet at kdoucet@leadershipindianapolis.com.

Date: Thursday, May 6, 2021

Time: 12:00-1:30 PM (EST)

Cost: $10.00

Location: Virtual – After signing up for the session through Eventbrite, you will receive a Zoom link and other details for joining the discussion.
