Romeo + Juliet x 2. As the splashy movie remake of West Side Story is being nominated for many awards, Dance Kaleidoscope (DK) offers two artistic interpretations of the story that served as inspiration for the movie — Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet.

Indianapolis Shakespeare Company will present the Prologue from Romeo and Juliet at the beginning of the performance. Then you’ll experience two different dances: “Romeo and Juliet Fantasy” is gorgeous piece with three Romeos and three Juliets, set to classical music. Then “Sweet Sorrow” gives wildly contemporary spin. For example, the ball where Romeo and Juliet first meet looks and sounds like a late night dance club.
