Talk of the Town: “The Ninth Best Storyteller” told by Antonio Sacre

April 9, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$35 – $60

When Antonio Sacre’s dad said to him, “It’s amazing you make a living as a storyteller because you’re only the ninth or tenth best storyteller in our family,” Antonio fumed. He set out to find out from his family if that was true, and the answer, just like life, is complicated, funny, bawdy, a bit dirty, kind of sad, and surprisingly honest.

Sacre’s tales of growing up bilingually in a Cuban and Irish-American household have inspired children worldwide to gather their own family stories and become storytellers themselves. His stories have been published in award-winning books and audio recordings. His professional developments and keynote addresses have helped educators teach writing to students from pre-kindergarten through graduate school. Now, his stories are being developed for film and television. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, two children, and two cats. Yes, he’s a cat guy. Visit his website here.
