Experience an afternoon of inspiration, hope and community with author Ashley C. Ford. Ford is a writer, host and educator who lives in Indianapolis. Her New York Times best-selling memoir, Somebody’s Daughter, was published by Flatiron Books in June 2021. Her powerful book explores growing up a poor Black girl in Indiana with a family fragmented by incarceration, how isolating and complex such a childhood can be, and her journey to find the threads between who she is and what she was born into.

• Panel discussion with therapist Hazel Owens, MDiv, LMFT
• Book signing and mental health resource fair
• Live music from 2 to 3 p.m. by Allison Victoria

Doors open at 2 p.m. The resource fair is happening before and after the program.
