IndyHub now accepting applications for President

Building on this decade-plus of success, IndyHub is excited to announce that it is seeking a new President to lead the organization in its efforts to craft a vibrant future for Indianapolis. Leading a small but talented staff team and working alongside an engaged board of directors, the President will be a natural leader who moves effortlessly among the community’s many sectors: corporate, nonprofit and government. In this role, he or she will network, convene and listen, making and facilitating meaningful connections that foster communication and spur positive action. At the same time, the President must maintain laser focus on IndyHub’s core constituency the 20- and 30-somethings of Indianapolis’ and cultivate opportunities and programming that meets their needs.

The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, energetic and passionate about Indianapolis and working among and on behalf of the city’s early career adults. He or she will have experienced measurable success in a leadership role, possess a proven network of contacts within the city and boast a successful track record of collaborative partnerships, fundraising and business development. In addition, this individual must confidently work with the city’s corporate leaders to determine their needs in workforce recruitment, development and retention and support those needs with appropriate programming directed at IndyHub’s career-focused base.

In addition to the many outward-facing aspects of the role, the ideal candidate also will be adept at business management, including:
• Experienced in budgeting and financial management
• Dedicated to leading, energizing and aligning the priorities of a small staff team
• Confident managing both projects and people
• Committed to ensuring that the essential day-to-day work of the organization gets done

He or she also must confidently oversee the workings of linked 501(c)3 and 501(c)6 nonprofit organizations and operate positively and in tandem with the boards governing those entities.

IndyHub is seeking a diverse slate of candidates to consider for this exciting opportunity. This position requires a bachelor’s degree and three to five years of progressive leadership experience in a business setting. Nonprofit sector experience, including fundraising, is a plus. Candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills; a well-developed understanding of Indianapolis, its key players and most pressing issues; and a sincere appreciation for the 20- and 30-somethings of Indianapolis and the opportunities and challenges facing them.

This is an exempt, full-time role with responsibilities that often extend beyond traditional business hours into evenings and weekends.
