Do you know a rising star in the business world? Someone that goes above and beyond what’s expected? Maybe you’re that person, or it’s your office mate, boss or just a friend. You know…. that individual that skipped the last happy hour, long lunch or birthday party to finish a project at work! Maybe it’s just a fellow cubicle dweller that never peeks over the top to gossip about co-workers or the latest celebrity mishap. SOMEONE in your life is deserving of the honor of being one of Junior Achievement's Indy’s Best and Brightest elite, and we need you to nominate them today!

We're seeking the people whose professional accomplishments, character and leadership qualities positively affect the Indianapolis workplace and community!

Junior Achievement of Central Indiana, Inc. (JACI), in partnership with the business and education communities, provides learning experiences for Central Indiana students with a concentration on life skills, job skills, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and a fundamental understanding of economics and the free enterprise system.

Through its annual Best and Brightest event, JACI recognizes those in the Central Indiana community that are current business leaders, as well as those who are the future of Indy’s economic and social success. These awards will provide an opportunity for you and your organization to recognize an outstanding individual 40 or younger who has gone above and beyond their call of duty, not only in the work place, but in the community as well.  An awards program and reception for the 100 finalists will be held in October. One winner from each category will be announced and recognized for their accomplishments. When it comes time to choose a category, it is okay to think outside of the box. If the nominee is an accountant for a law firm, they could fall under either category. Maybe you know an individual that is a professor of communications; do they fall under education or media? Be creative!

Ten Finalists will be honored in each of the following categories:

  • Accounting
  • Banking & Financial Services
  • Education & Nonprofit
  • Government
  • Health & Life Sciences
  • Law
  • Manufacturing, Retail & Services
  • Media, Entertainment & Sports
  • Real Estate Development & Construction
  • Technology

It’s effortless and quick to nominate an exceptional person you know!! Just go to www.jaindy.org. You now have access to all the information at your fingertips. You can look under the special events section for selection criteria, nomination form, sponsorships, and event details. Placing a nomination is a sure fire way to make someone's day!! (All nominations are due by Wednesday, August 15, 2012) Need some help thinking who might be a good fit? Interested in seeing who was honored at the event before? Check out our previous finalists and winners from 2011 and 2010. All finalists from the previous two years are automatically reconsidered the following year as well.

Over 500 of Indy’s outstanding young professionals as well as decision-makers from some of Central Indiana’s premiere employers will attend the 2012 Indy’s Best and Brightest event again this year. Don’t miss your chance to promote your employees and organization to this focused and targeted audience, and recognize the future leaders of Central Indiana.
