They might be new to the Indy region but soon, Hard Truth Distilling Co., a southern Indiana spirits company will be taking to Mass Ave. at Bottleworks. If you want a preview of their taste, flavors and staff you’re in luck – tomorrow, July 15th, you can join in the fun at Camp IndyHub’s Raise the Bar with Hard Truth Distilling Co.!
And if you still want to learn more, let us introduce you to just some of their team members below. We sat down with Ian McCabe, Experience Director, and Taylor Jacks, Corporate Mixologist, for a quick Q&A. Take a read!
The IndyHub team is so excited for Hard Truth Distilling Co.’s presence at the Bottleworks Garage. What’s the most exciting part about your team making its Indy debut?
The most exciting part of joining the downtown scene is getting to see Hard Truth Distilling continue to join and come up against the larger Craft Spirits and Cocktails market in Indiana. We’ve been able to see such success in Nashville with Indianapolis tourists, so getting to bring it home to them is a wonderful opportunity for us.
Since Hard Truth Distilling Co. is a new name for many Indy residents, can you give us a little background about the origin of the company? Where’s home for the brand?
Hard Truth Distilling Co. got our start in 2015 crafting spirits on an open-flame-heated micro-still above the Big Woods Pizza restaurant in downtown Nashville, IN. Our expanded distilling facility on the 325-acre Hard Truth Hills campus is now our home. On the new property, you can experience a wide variety of touring, dining, and drinking opportunities. You can find Hard Truth Hills just outside downtown Nashville, IN. Check out the website (www.hardtruthhills.com) for more information!
20-and 30-somethings are all about our city’s texture a.k.a – nightlife and culture, so what can they expect their first time visiting Hard Truth Distilling Co. in Bottleworks? (Any potential menu items you’d like to share?)
We love our party-ers AND our quiet nights with a glass of whiskey, and the Hard Truth Bar at Bottleworks is going to be the perfect place for both. We’re bringing in Barrel-Aged Cocktails made with Hard Truth’s Whiskeys and Gin, a couple Big Woods standards that our guests have loved and requested for years, as well as a new craft cocktail menu built to make the Hard Truth go down easy!
Working so closely with all of the other craft purveyors at Bottleworks will give us the chance to use amazing local ingredients, and create the next evolution in Hoosier Craft.
So we know we have to wait for the Bottleworks Garage debut but tell us how Indy residents can get their hands on some HTD Co. spirits?
