On June 18th TechPoint, the nonprofit, industry-led growth initiative for Indiana’s technology ecosystem, will celebrate the 2019 accomplishments of the Indiana tech community with the 2020 Mira Awards. The event will allow TechPoint, with help from presenting sponsors Eli Lilly and Company, Genesys, Infosys, Raytheon and Salesforce, to shine a light on the future of tech in the Hoosier state.
It’s a celebration that, like countless others across the world, will be virtual instead of an in-person gathering due to safety concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic. Reconfiguring the event has been a huge task, but one that comes with a silver lining: the past 20 years of in-person Mira gatherings have been limited by venue capacity limits. This year we’re going virtual, meaning zero limits on how many can watch the night unfold; front-row seats for everyone!
It’s been a tough year for everyone. We’re still grappling with how to safely re-open cities, businesses, and offices while the pandemic continues. Beyond COVID-19 issues, we also have a lot of work to do together if we are to ensure every Hoosier in tech – or who WANTS to be in tech – has equitable opportunities and access to success. We are excited that, next week, we get to celebrate those who are making a positive difference in our community. The future of tech in Indiana is still very bright, and we’re excited to shine a light on those who make it so!
