Come join Indy Fringe for the second in the Timeless Music Project’s new 2020 series featuring the Avenue Indy Jazz Quintet.

In this program the band takes center stage with an instrumental program of unique arrangements of familiar songs. The band specializes in variety, drawing inspiration from dixieland, bebop, Blue Note jazz, smooth jazz, classical melodies, Latin grooves, and even TV show themes. With Avenue Indy, improvised solos are short and sets are full of variety. If you don’t like something they are playing, wait about 3 minutes and they’ll be on to something completely different. Jeff believes that most listeners enjoy the jazz vibe but are put off by “heady compositions and endless improvised solos.” None of that with Avenue Indy.
