Swan Lake is a tale of love and betrayal – a battle between good and evil. It tells the story of Prince Siegfried and the lovely swan princess Odette. Under the spell of the evil sorcerer Von Rothbart, Odette must spend her days as a swan and nights in her human form. Only a declaration of true love will set her free! After a chance lakeside meeting, the prince and Odette quickly fall in love. But, when the sorcerer transforms his daughter Odile into the exact image of Odette to trick the prince into marrying her, confusion and heartbreak ensue.
Complete with gorgeous costumes and Tchaikovsky’s moving musical score, Ballet Theatre of Carmel Academy’s Swan Lake is a production that will capture your imagination, tingle your spine, and stir your soul!
